January 2006
Riverfolk Friends and Fans,
It has been a long time since I last wrote those words. Too long. But here we are again.
I am mostly healed and my voice is doing most everything I want it to and in some cases more. I've tried the voice out at a couple of open mikes and went to a music party as well. The consensus is that my voice has changed. Friends can't quite put the change into words that they feel truly describe it, but I've heard things like rounder and more powerful. Cool! All say they like the new voice. You all will have to judge for yourselves.
This brings us to the point of this message. Becca and I have started rehearsals and are starting to book shows. The first few are listed below.
It is a hard thing for a singer to lose his voice. It is only in the past few weeks that I have been able to sing again. At times even though I "knew" it would get better it didn"t feel that way. I've shied away from most things Riverfolk. Thanks for all of the messages of support last fall. Sorry it has been so long.
Once again,
Thanks for listening,
Chas
